Meet Amber Pearce

March 13, 2012

Zerion is pleased to announce the addition of Amber Pearce to our sales team. Since you may be getting some phone calls or emails from her, we thought we should introduce her. Amber serves as a Sales Representative and brings a broad skill set to this role, with prior positions in retail as well as office management for a busy dental practice. Each of these people-focused experiences prepared her well for the time she spends developing and pursuing sales opportunities at Zerion. Amber has specialized knowledge in credit card processing, and she works to make sure our customers needs are met by checking in with them via phone and email. She also makes contact with potential new customers and introduces them to the benefits and services that an independent consulting firm like Zerion can provide. Welcome, Amber!

Eclipse Veteran Joins Zerion Team

May 26, 2011

Images are 95px by 95pxZerion has a new consultant among its ranks; and, while he may be new to us, he’s no rookie to Eclipse or distribution! We’re pleased to welcome Daron Brown and his fourteen years of Activant Eclipse experience to our team.

Daron is an Indiana native that comes to us from a plumbing and HVAC distributor in his home state. He’s an all-around Eclipse expert who spent the last decade or so working his way through many roles at a wholesaler including: inside and outside sales, RF warehousing, purchasing and inventory control, and pricing. Daron’s expertise will be put to good use as he travels the country servicing customers that need a Zerion consultant on-site for consulting and training. He’ll specialize in RF, purchasing, pricing, velocity pricing, UET codes, and much more.  He’ll also provide remote service to many of our customers enrolled in our monthly Eclipse support program called EZ Support.

Daron says he’s excited about this opportunity to learn even more about Eclipse; and, he’s looking forward to helping distributors become more profitable and efficient. Daron and his wife of eight years, Becky, have two young children. Welcome, Daron!

UniVerse DBA Joins Zerion Team

March 30, 2011

Monitoring system performance, tracking down printer problems, finding the source of system issues, setting up secure file transfer, refreshing training account data, and forms changes … Would any of that sound helpful to you?

We’ve seen an increasing need amongst Eclipse users for an independent programming and database resource that can resolve costly system challenges and increase up-time. And when our customers talk, we listen.

We’re excited to announce the addition of Susan Chandler to our Eclipse services team. Susan is a certified UniVerse Database Administrator with eleven years of experience in distribution. She comes to us from Hughes Supply/HD Supply where she monitored the performance of the Eclipse system and kept it running as efficiently as possible.

Now her specialized services are available to Eclipse users of all sizes, without the expense of an in-house or Activant resource. Susan’s unique exposure to a large-scale Eclipse environment developed her exceptional ability to understand the inner-workings of the system. She’ll be utilizing this knowledge to help Zerion customers better identify and resolve efficiency issues; and, she’ll oversee our new EZ Performance program.

Susan is a Navy veteran with a degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Miami. She is originally from New Mexico, and currently resides near Zerion’s home base in Orlando, Florida. Welcome, Susan!

Staffing Up Sales

January 25, 2011

If you know Zerion, you know Tony King. As the primary salesperson, as well as a consultant and owner, he’s often the face of the company. And, often one busy man. So, he’s decided that he isn’t too proud to ask for a little help.

Tony’s focus since the inception of Zerion has been on developing and maintaining communication with customers. Keeping in touch, ensuring customer satisfaction, and looking for opportunities is a passion. But, as the business grows and the economy improves, it’s getting harder to do it as well as he’d like. For the New Year, Tony’s decided to call in some reserves. While he’ll still be actively and deeply engaged with the customer base, Joel Gordon and Jon Moyer will be on the front lines. As such, we thought you’d like to meet the guys who just may be giving you a ring in the coming months.

Images are 95px by 95pxJoel will be responsible for managing the current and past customer base. He’ll work alongside Tony to make sure “we’re there” for all of our customers as comprehensively and proactively as possible. Joel’s background is in technology, having worked in both supply chain management and medical manufacturing. He has a BS Degree in Business Administration and has also served as a sales executive for SAP Business One software. Joel mentioned, “I’ve known Tony for some time and have curiously watched how he manages his customers. I can see what a huge priority it is for him and I’m truly honored to be able to participate in that process, especially with a company that is so clearly committed to its customers.” Joel is a lifelong musician; and, he and his wife Kim are expecting their first child this summer.

Images are 95px by 95pxJon’s role is to make contact with potential new customers and introduce them to the benefits and services that an independent consulting firm like Zerion can provide. Jon started his own business development company in 2007, specializing in software sales. He majored in Business Management at Temple University and is a Philadelphia native who now resides in Los Angeles.

Welcome Joel and Jon!

Look Who’s Training Now

May 27, 2010

Zerion is proud to welcome some more new faces to our Eclipse services team. This month, Susana Armstrong as well as Steve and Peggy Gonter joined the ranks as Zerion Consultants.

Images are 95px by 95pxSusana is an old friend from our days at Hughes (now HD Supply). She was part of Hughes’  IT department and worked  as an Eclipse support technician for six years. Prior to that, she learned the system while working in the Accounts Payable department.

Susana will primarily be responsible for teaching our web-based learning classes, both for Zerion and the UFO. She’ll soon be releasing a brand new, ongoing schedule of low-cost remote learning opportunities for Eclipse users.

Images are 95px by 95pxSteve and Peggy are a long-time husband and wife team in the distribution IT arena. They’ve spent the last 12 years providing implementation, programming, support and project management services to businesses using Eclipse software. They also each have 10 years experience supporting SHIMS Software on UniVerse.

The addition of Steve and Peggy extends our services to include more comprehensive programming for Eclipse users.

Welcome Rick Canida

January 28, 2010

Over the past four years, we’ve lost quite a few employees to our customers. Although we’d like to be upset, we think it speaks to how well we’ve trained our people and how sought after they are in the industry. Recent months have been the hardest hitting of those bittersweet losses; so, we’ve been focused on finding the right talent to seamlessly continue serving our customers’ needs. We want diverse skill sets, experienced consultants and trainers, and distribution veterans (if you know of anyone, let us know!). This quest has led us back to an old friend, and he is now the newest member of our team.

Rick Canida was an installer on the Hughes Supply team with Zerion’s founders. He left Hughes to become an installer for Intuit. When Activant purchased Eclipse, he went to work with an Eclipse customer and has been involved with several other Eclipse customers. Long story short, Rick knows his stuff; and, we’d like to give him a big Zerion welcome.
